Cladistics
Cladistics is a scientific method used to classify organisms in terms of evolutionary relationships. It is a powerful tool used to infer evolutionary relationships by comparing characters of organisms. Cladistics is based on the idea that organisms can be organized into groupings, or clades, that share common ancestor-descendant relationships. Cladistics has become an essential tool in evolutionary biology, genetics, and systematics, helping to better understand the evolutionary relationships of different species. By understanding the evolutionary relationships of different species, we can better understand their features and behaviours, and predict evolutionary changes. In addition, cladistics has been used for conservation efforts, to better understand species that are at risk of extinction or are endangered.
