Neurodegeneration

Neurodegeneration is a medical condition where neurons in the brain or other parts of the nervous system are lost over time, leading to a decline in cognitive and motor functions. This can be the result of genetic factors, environmental factors, or a combination of both. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are the most common and debilitating forms of this condition. Neurodegeneration can have major impacts on quality of life, and scientists are actively researching treatments and cures to help alleviate the symptoms and progression of these diseases.
