Nephrology Nursing

Nephrology nursing is a specialty of nursing dedicated to caring for patients who have kidney diseases or disorders. These nurses assess and monitor patient's health, as well as provide education and support to both patients and their families. Nephrology nurses work closely with doctors and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans and carry out care for patients with kidney disorders. They play a significant role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life for those living with chronic kidney diseases. Nephrology nursing also involves managing and monitoring drug therapies, dialysis treatments, and nutritional interventions, as well as providing patient education and support for end-of-life care.
