Hematuria

Hematuria is the medical term used to describe the presence of blood in the urine. It can occur due to a variety of causes, including kidney or bladder infection, kidney stones, trauma, strenuous exercise, or a medical condition like sickle cell anemia. Hematuria can be either gross (visible) or microscopic, which means the blood is only visible under a microscope. It is an important symptom to be aware of, as it can be an indication of a serious health condition. Prompt evaluation by a qualified medical professional is recommended for any instance of hematuria.
