Azotemia
Azotemia is an important clinical sign in medicine indicating an increase in nitrogen-containing waste products, such as urea and creatinine, in the blood. It is associated with kidney failure and other conditions such as heart failure, dehydration, and shock. Azotemia is used to diagnose and monitor conditions related to kidney function, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, such as dialysis. Early detection of azotemia can be crucial in order to prevent long-term renal damage and improve the outcome of treatment.
