293T Cells
293T cells are a strain of permanent cell lines derived from human embryonic kidney cells. These cells are T-antigen-expressing, meaning they produce an antigen recognized by the body’s immune system, making them important for research into cell biology and immunology. 293T cells also have a high transfection efficiency, meaning they can successfully take up and express foreign DNA, making them particularly useful for gene therapy studies and recombinant protein expression. 293T cells have become increasingly popular among scientists, as they provide an excellent model for testing various diseases and treatments in cell cultures.
