Neoplasia
Neoplasia is an abnormal growth of cells that is uncontrolled and progressive and can eventually lead to the formation of an abnormal mass of tissue. Neoplasia has the potential to spread to other parts of the body, making it a significant health concern, as it can lead to cancer. It is diagnosed through tests such as biopsies and imaging studies, and treatment varies depending on the type and severity of the neoplasia. Neoplasia has a variety of uses in medical research, diagnosis, and treatment. By studying neoplasia, researchers aim to understand how and why abnormal cells form and develop, as well as how to prevent or stop the growth of neoplasia or cancer. Additionally, neoplasia can be used in diagnosis to detect cancer at an early stage with screening tests. Finally, depending on the type of neoplasia, there are several treatments available, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, to help reduce its progression or eliminate it entirely.
