Cancer Palliative Care
Cancer palliative care is an approach to care which focuses on providing relief from physical and emotional symptoms of advanced cancer. It seeks to improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with cancer and their families, by treating the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual impacts of the disease. Palliative care is provided throughout the entire course of cancer treatment and can be integrated with other treatments. It aims to relieve pain, manage symptoms, and address issues such as spiritual distress, depression, and anxiety. Palliative care can also provide support to patients' families and loved ones who can benefit from the psychological, social, and spiritual support it offers.
