Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia
Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) is a type of cancer that originates from malignant changes in lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. ALL is the most common type of leukemia in children and teens, but it can also affect adults. Symptoms of ALL can include fatigue, anemia, recurrent infections, and easy bruising and bleeding. If left untreated, ALL can lead to a number of potentially life-threatening complications. Treatment of ALL may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, stem cell transplantation, and/or targeted drug therapy. With early detection and treatment, the overall prognosis of ALL is often positive.
