Numerical Integration

Numerical integration is a mathematical technique used to approximate a definite integral over a given range of values. The technique works by using a set of discreet data points, along with an algorithm, to calculate the area under the curve. Its applications range from solving differential equations to predicting the future values of a given process. Numerical integration is a reliable, widely used method of solving complex problems in mathematics, engineering and other scientific fields.
