Ecological Metrics

Ecological metrics are measurements and indicators used to assess and monitor the health of an ecosystem. They provide an objective way to measure the effects of human activities on the environment, such as climate change, land use change, and habitat destruction. Ecological metrics are used to track changes in ecological systems and identify areas that need additional research or conservation attention. They can also be used to inform decision-making for policies such as conservation land-use planning or disaster response. Ecological metrics are critical for understanding the current state of ecosystems and informing environmental management decisions to ensure the long-term health of these delicate ecosystems.
