Working Memory

Working memory is a type of short-term memory that allows us to temporarily store, process and manipulate information in order to complete tasks. Working memory has many real-world applications, such as understanding complex verbal instructions and problem-solving. It is also important for academic success, as it involves the ability to remember, retain and recall information. As such, working memory is a skill that can be improved by honing one’s attention and focus. The implications of working memory go beyond academics and can have a positive impact on success in all areas of life, such as work and relationships.
