Narrative

Review A narrative review is a type of systematic review in which the author summarizes and interprets previously published work in a field or topic. It is performed by collecting and synthesizing data from various sources, such as scientific papers, textbooks, and online databases. The aim of narrative review is to provide a comprehensive overview of the literature on a particular topic, while also critiquing and synthesizing the existing knowledge. This type of review is used to identify gaps in literature and to identify knowledge that is not yet well-defined or accepted. It can also help form the basis for the development of new theories and hypotheses. Narrative reviews are often used in academic settings to aid in the teaching, research and evaluation of a topic.
