Developmental Psychology

Developmental psychology is the study of physical, cognitive, and social development across the lifespan. It seeks to understand how individuals develop and interact with their environment in order to guide policies and inform best practices that promote healthy growth and well-being. Developmental psychologists seek to understand human development in the context of social, cultural, and environmental factors. By studying the interplay between these factors, they aim to identify key points in the lifespan where interventions can be made to improve mental health, reduce disparities, and promote successful outcomes.
