Health Informatics Implementation
Health informatics is the application of information technology to the field of healthcare. It is a vast field that encompasses the utilization of electronic health records (EHRs), computer systems, networks, and telehealth technologies to enhance communication, health data sharing and data security to improve the management of patient care and patient safety. Health informatics implementation is used to increase efficiency and accuracy of patient care, reduce financial and operational costs, support patient-centered care, and improve healthcare access and outcomes. It is becoming increasingly important to healthcare providers, health system networks, and patients alike, as technology continues to advance and become more widely adopted in the delivery of healthcare.
