Urology Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Urology Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a condition that affects the prostate gland and is one of the most common disorders among men. It is caused by an enlargement of the prostate, which can cause a number of uncomfortable symptoms, such as urinary urgency, difficulty in starting urination, weak urinary flow, frequent urge to urinate and feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder. BPH is a non-cancerous and treatable condition, and is also known as an enlarged prostate. Early and proper diagnosis is necessary for effective management and treatment of BPH. Many treatments are available, including medications, lifestyle and dietary modifications, and minimally invasive procedures. Treatment of BPH should be tailored to each individual’s needs and the severity of their symptoms.
