Urologic Infections
Urologic infections are a type of infection that occur in the urinary tract (UTIs), the kidneys, and the reproductive organs in both men and women. Urologic infections are typically caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi, and can lead to pain, fever, and other unpleasant symptoms. Treatment of urological infections generally involve antibiotics or other medications, and prompt attention to potential complications. For example, when left untreated, a urinary tract infection (UTI) can spread and cause serious damage to the kidneys. Urologic infections are a common health issue and can be prevented through good hygiene and prompt medical treatment.
