Tetracyclines
Tetracyclines are a class of antibiotics used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. They are particularly effective against Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobes, some Gram-negative bacteria and various other microorganisms. Tetracyclines can be administered orally, intravenously, and topically, depending on the type of infection being effectively treated. They are used to combat common bacterial infections such as acne, chlamydia, Helicobacter pylori, and urinary tract infections, as well as a range of more serious infections such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Lyme disease. Tetracyclines are also used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of infections in dogs, cats, and other animals.
