Pyelography

Pyelography is a specialized medical imaging technique used to evaluate the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. This procedure involves the injection of a contrast material into the urinary tract, which allows for visualization of any anomalies. The contrast material helps to highlight the anatomy of the urinary tract, identify any blockages or dilations in the urinary tract, and assess the function of the kidneys. Pyelography is most often used to diagnose urinary tract diseases, detect kidney stones or tumors, and to guide the placement of tubes or catheters. Pyelography is an important diagnostic tool that can help to inform a doctor's treatment plan.
