Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that affects the prostate - a walnut-shaped gland in men that produces the seminal fluid which nourishes and transports sperm. It is one of the most common forms of cancer in men, and it can be diagnosed through a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test. Early detection is key to successful treatment and may involve surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and active surveillance. Prostate cancer can be life-threatening, but with effective treatment, many individuals can have a good quality of life.
