Nephrolithiasis

Nephrolithiasis is the medical term for renal stones, a condition where solid crystals of salts and minerals form on the inner lining of the kidneys. It is a common condition and can cause symptoms such as pain in the abdomen and groin, nausea, and fever. Nephrolithiasis may also lead to further complications such as urinary tract infections, kidney failure, and blockage of the urinary tract. Treatment for nephrolithiasis may include surgically removing the stones, breaking the stones with shock waves, or using medications to dissolve the stones. It is important to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment for nephrolithiasis, as untreated cases can lead to serious health problems.
