Gynecologic Diseases
Gynecologic diseases are medical conditions that affect the reproductive organs of women, including the ovaries, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. Common gynecologic diseases include endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and ovarian cancer. Treatment of gynecologic diseases can include medications, surgery, or lifestyle modifications. Early diagnosis and treatment are important in managing gynecologic diseases, as they can cause significant physical and psychological symptoms, as well as negatively affect fertility. Awareness of gynecologic diseases and the importance of regular screenings is an important component of women's health.
