Glomerulonephritis
Glomerulonephritis is an inflammation of the glomeruli, the filtering units of the kidneys, causing protein and red blood cells to be lost in the urine. Glomerulonephritis can lead to serious complications such as hypertension and kidney failure, and can be caused by bacterial and viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and genetic factors. Treatment depends on the cause and can include medications, lifestyle changes, and dialysis. Early diagnosis and proper treatment can help prevent complications and acute kidney injury.
