Dysuria

Dysuria is a medical term referring to pain or discomfort during urination. This symptom is more common in women than men, and it is often accompanied by a frequent and urgent need to urinate. Dysuria can be caused by a variety of underlying problems, ranging from urinary tract infections to kidney stones and prostatitis. It is important to seek medical care whenever dysuria occurs, since early diagnosis and treatment is essential to prevent complications. Treatment is often tailored to the individual, and may include medications, lifestyle changes and other forms of therapy. Early identification and treatment of dysuria can help reduce the severity of symptoms and improve quality of life.
