Trauma Systems

Trauma Systems are specialized medical organizations that provide coordinated, comprehensive care for patients with traumatic injuries. These systems are designed to ensure the prompt, effective delivery of timely and appropriate care for injury victims, reducing the risk of life-threatening complications and death. Trauma Systems provide an essential public health service, helping to reduce both the burden and costs of trauma care on the healthcare system. They are an important part of the emergency response system, and have been shown to improve outcomes for trauma patients.
