Toe Amputation
Toe amputation is a surgical procedure to remove all or part of a toe that must be done in cases of injury, infection, or a benign tumor. This procedure is safe and can help reduce pain, infection, and risk of further injury. It is also used to improve the function and appearance of a toe. Toe amputation can help improve patient’s quality of life as it can restore normal walking and reduce the discomfort that can occur from nerve damage in the toe. Additionally, it can help prevent infection from spreading to other parts of the body and is a cost-effective way of treating a problem.
