Spinal Trauma
Spinal trauma is any significant damage or injury to the vertebral column and associated structures of the human spine. It can be caused by a wide variety of physical trauma, including car accidents, sports injuries, falls, and violence. Spinal trauma can lead to a range of conditions and symptoms, such as paralysis, loss of sensation, compromised respiratory and cardiovascular functions, and loss of bladder and bowel control. Treatment for spinal trauma typically involves immobilization and stabilization of the spine, pain management, rest, physical rehabilitation, and in some cases, surgery. Early treatment and comprehensive rehabilitation are critical for ensuring a successful recovery from spinal trauma.
