Sexual Abuse
Sexual abuse is a form of physical or psychological violence in which one person uses sexual contact or activities to dominate, control, or exploit another person. It can include unwanted touching, rape or attempted rape, sexual harassment, and the exploitation of a minor for the purpose of sexual gratification. Sexual abuse can have long-term consequences for survivors, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It can also lead to a cycle of further abuse, making it important to address the issue through education and prevention. Survivors can receive help and support through counseling, support groups, and legal resources.
