Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of a traumatic event. It is characterized by a sense of fear and helplessness that can persist for months or years after the event. Symptoms can include nightmares or flashbacks, difficulty concentrating, irritability or outbursts of anger, and avoiding activities or situations that may bring back traumatic memories. PTSD can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life and is treatable through a variety of therapies and medications.
