Pneumonectomy
Pneumonectomy is a surgery that removes all or a portion of the lung. It is used to treat serious lung diseases such as lung cancer, localized tumors, and other serious lung infections. This surgery has improved the lives of thousands of patients, providing them with the opportunity to return to their regular activities, with improved breathing and a greater quality of life. Pneumonectomy is a major surgical procedure with risks of serious complications. However, with proper preparation and close monitoring, the risks of complications can be minimized.
