Muscle & Ligament Injuries
Muscle and ligament injuries are a common form of injury caused by overexertion or trauma, both of which can cause strains or sprains to the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. These injuries often lead to pain, tenderness, swelling, bruising, and decreased range of motion. Muscle and ligament injuries can be treated effectively with rest, ice, and stretching, or, in more severe cases, with physical therapy, steroid injections, or surgery. With prompt treatment, these injuries can be healed completely and the associated pain and discomfort alleviated. With proper injury prevention, these injuries can be avoided, helping to maintain an optimal level of physical health and wellbeing.
