Lung Trauma
Lung trauma is a form of injury to the lungs caused by either blunt or penetrating force. It can be a result of a physical altercation, violent assault, motor vehicle accident, or fall. Lung trauma is a life-threatening medical condition that requires a swift diagnosis and treatment. Depending on the severity, treatment may include surgical intervention, antibiotics, and supportive care. Lung trauma is also associated with long-term lung complications, such as pulmonary fibrosis. Early diagnosis is essential for proper treatment and recovery and can improve long-term prognosis.
