Medical and psychological trauma are often categorized as two distinct types of traumatic experiences, yet they are deeply interconnected. When an individual experiences a physically traumatic event, such as a car accident or natural disaster, there is often an emotional and psychological impact as well. Similarly, psychological trauma, such as childhood abuse or combat trauma, can lead to physical health problems down the road. At the Journal of Medical and Psychological Trauma, we aim to explore the complex relationship between physical and psychological trauma.
