Intoeing
Intoeing is a condition in which the feet point inward when a person stands or walks. It is a common problem in infants and children, and it is sometimes caused by unusually tight thigh muscles or other underlying health issues. Intoeing can lead to pain, difficulty walking, and lower extremity injuries. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent more serious complications, such as ankle sprains and shin splints. Treatments for intoeing can include stretching exercises, physical therapy, braces, or, in rare cases, surgery, to correct the underlying condition. Knowing that intoeing is a common childhood condition can help parents be aware and take steps to prevent problems.
