Heel Pain
Heel pain is a common form of foot discomfort which can be caused by a number of factors. It is typically characterized by a sharp or burning sensation on the heel or around the base of the foot. Causes of heel pain can include conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and heel spurs. Heel pain can be treated with various forms of physical therapy, orthotics and customized shoe inserts, anti-inflammatory medications, and in more severe cases, surgery. Heel pain can be managed to help reduce discomfort and allow people to better enjoy their daily activities.
