Head and Neck Fractures
Head and neck fractures are breaks in the bones of the head, neck, or jaw. They can cause permanent damage to the teeth, mouth, and face. Symptoms of head and neck fractures include pain, swelling, and bruising. Treatment depends on the location and type of fracture, and may involve stabilization with a head or neck brace, medications, and/or surgery. Head and neck fractures can have significant implications for an individual's quality of life and are an important issue for medical professionals to address. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to minimizing the risks associated with head and neck fractures.
