A chemical burn is a type of burn caused by direct contact with an acid or other corrosive substance. Chemical burns can cause tissue damage and may need immediate medical attention due to the risk of infection and other complications. Chemical burns can affect the skin, eyes, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, and other organs.
