Ankle Fracture

An ankle fracture is a medical condition in which one or more of the bones of the ankle joint are broken. These fractures can occur as a result of a traumatic injury such as a fall, or can be caused by repetitive stress over time. Treatment of an ankle fracture typically involves immobilizing the ankle in a cast or splint, and may require surgery depending on the severity of the fracture. Ankle fractures are a common injury and can have serious consequences, including chronic pain and potentially disability, if not treated quickly and correctly.
