Ungulates
Ungulates are a group of mammals that have hooves for feet. These animals can range in size from small, such as the pika, to large, such as the African elephant. Ungulates play a vital role in the environment, helping to disperse seeds, disperse nutrients through their feces, maintain genetic diversity in their populations, and control populations of other species. They also form a major part of the global food supply, as they are hunted and farmed for meat, hides, and other products.
