Predators
Predators are animals that hunt and feed on other animals. They are a significant component of most terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems on Earth. Predators play an important role in controlling the population of their prey, reducing competition for resources and helping to maintain a healthy balance in the natural environment. They also provide important ecological services, such as nutrient cycling, which helps keep the environment healthy and productive. Predators have also been used in pest control, to reduce the number of pests in an area, such as rodents and insects.
