Mammalian Physiology
Mammalian physiology is the study of the physical and biochemical functions of mammals. It is the basis of all biomedical research and the basis of all medical treatments. It includes the study of various organs, systems and hormones and how these interact to enable basic bodily functions such as respiration, digestion, circulation, thermoregulation, reproduction, and growth. It aims to understand the relationship between different bodily processes and how they impact health. Through understanding the physiology of mammals, scientists can develop new treatments and drugs to improve the health of humans and other animals, as well as to further our understanding of the animal body and diseases.
