Mammal Conservation
Mammal conservation is the protection and management of mammals, their habitats, and their associated ecosystems. This is done through research, management of habitat, re-introduction of species, and other strategies. Mammal conservation is important as mammals provide important goods and services to us, such as pollination, water cycling, and pest control. They also provide important ecological resources and form the foundation of many food webs. By protecting mammal populations and their habitats, we are preserving the balance of our natural environment. Conservation efforts also help ensure that future generations will have the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from these species and their habitats.
