Badgers

Badgers are a medium-sized, omnivorous mammal found throughout most parts of the Northern Hemisphere. They have distinctive black-and-white stripes and live in burrows, which they dig with their powerful claws. Badgers play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to control pests, digging for food and aiding with seed dispersal. Additionally, badgers are an important prey species for many animals, such as foxes and eagles. As a result of their ecological significance, badgers are legally protected in a number of locations.
