Pulmonology
Pulmonology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the lungs and respiratory system. This includes conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia. Pulmonologists use a variety of tools to diagnose these conditions and provide treatments that can improve quality of life, reduce asthma attacks, and reduce risk of death from lung diseases. Pulmonology plays an important role in improving public health by helping people to manage and treat their respiratory problems.
