Non-Small-Cell Lung
Cancer Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a type of cancer that originates in the lungs. It accounts for 85% of all the cases of lung cancer diagnosed in the US and is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide. NSCLC is typically treated through chemotherapy, radiation, and/or surgery. Diagnosis of NSCLC is important because early detection can help improve the effectiveness of treatment and increase the chances of successful outcomes. NSCLC can be managed and monitored through regular screenings like X-rays and CT scans, as well as targeted therapies, such as targeted drugs or immunotherapies that can help reduce the size of cancerous tumors.
