Lung Cancer Risk Factors
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, and it can be caused by various risk factors. These include environmental factors, such as smoking cigarettes, occupational exposure to chemicals, radon gas, and air pollution; lifestyle factors like diet and exercise; and inherited genetic factors. Being aware of and reducing these risk factors can help lower your chances of developing lung cancer. Quitting smoking is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of lung cancer and other diseases. Eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and avoiding exposure to hazardous chemicals and other air pollutants can also be protective measures that can help lower your risk.
