Vowels
Vowels are speech sounds that are produced with an open vocal tract and without audible friction. They are commonly used in the pronunciation of words and are critical components of all spoken languages. Vowels can also be used to distinguish between words with the same consonant sound and to create emphasis. Furthermore, vowels can be used to evoke emotion or represent sounds of nature. As a result, vowel sounds are an important part of communication and are essential for human expression.
