Phonology and Phonetics

Phonology and phonetics are the study of speech sounds in language. Phonetics is the study of the actual sounds used in spoken language, while phonology deals with the way those sounds work together. It studies how different speech sounds interact with each other, and how they can create meaning in a language. This knowledge is important for understanding how speakers use a language, and how they are able to understand each other. It also helps us in improving communication, providing a better understanding of how different languages are structured. Phonology and phonetics are essential for linguistics, and can also be applied to speech and language therapy, as well as foreign language learning.
