Educational Psychology

Educational psychology is the science of understanding how people learn and how educators can best facilitate learning. It uses principles and findings from cognitive, developmental, and social psychology to inform instruction in educational settings. Educational psychologists strive to understand how students learn, identify areas of difficulty, design effective learning environments, and develop strategies for improving student performance. Educational psychology is important for informing educators about how to create an effective learning environment and apply instructional strategies that promote student learning and development.
