Corpus Linguistics
Corpus linguistics is a field of linguistics that studies language by analyzing a collection of real world written texts, or corpora. In a corpus-based approach, language is studied in its natural context, considering its structures, lexicon, and other features. The insights gained from analyzing real-world language data can be used to inform language-related tasks such as natural language understanding, machine translation, and automatic text processing. Corpus linguistics is also used to study how language is used in different contexts, how it changes over time, and the relationship between the language and its speakers. This can help linguists better understand the dynamics of language and its role in society.
